Lennox Coke has a deep and abiding commitment to the portrayal of Jamaica culture and lifestyle through his art. His artistic offerings are snippets of Jamaican life, which allows the viewer to experience the real Jamaica and its people. Coke maintains that art found him. As a youngster he was always creating items, such as toys, comic books, ect. He later became a capable cabinet maker before moving on to Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. After studying there he launched his career as an artist focusing mainly on painting. Coke has participated in several exhibitions in Jamaica and overseas including Trinidad and Tobago; Washington D.C; New York City; Toronto Canada; and Barbados, among others.
